Max Hawkins is an Australian student using her adolescent experiences as a catalyst to explore themes of youthful nostalgia. She is inspired by a variety of photographers and filmmakers such as Eve Arnold, Petra Collins, Sofia Coppola and Céline Sciamma. Themes of femininity run strong through all theses artists' work and the same themes are reflected in Max's photographic and video works. Colours are often a main focus throughout her works, either in the intensity or lack-thereof as a key feature. It is these inspirations and technical elements that run throughout Max's entire portfolio, creating a clear voice.
